New discoveries made at the Varinza copper mine in Ecuador

Solaris Resources announced that its Warintza project in Ecuador has made major discoveries. For the first time, detailed geophysical prospecting has discovered a larger porphyry system than previously recognized. In order to speed up exploration and expand the scope of resources, the company has increased the number of drilling rigs from 6 to 12.
Main exploration results:
SLSW-01 is the first hole in the Valin Sasi deposit. The goal is to verify the ground geochemical anomaly, and it was deployed before the completion of geophysical exploration. The hole sees 798 meters at a depth of 32 meters, with a copper equivalent grade of 0.31% (copper 0.25%, molybdenum 0.02%, gold 0.02%), including 260 meters thick, copper equivalent grade 0.42% mineralization (copper 0.35%, 0.01% molybdenum, 0.02% gold). This visit to the mine marked another major discovery of the Varinsa project.
The results of geophysical prospecting showed that the entire project, including the central, east and west high conductivity anomalies in Varinsa, has good continuity, with a range of 3.5 kilometers long, 1 kilometers wide, and 1 kilometers deep. The high conductivity shows that the vein-like sulfide mineralization is closely related to the high-grade copper mineralization in Varinsa. The independent large-scale high-conductivity anomaly south of Varinsana dwarfs the geochemical anomaly, with a range of 2.3 kilometers long, 1.1 kilometers wide, and 0.7 kilometers deep. In addition, a previously unknown large-scale high-conductivity anomaly, Yawi, was discovered, which is 2.8 kilometers long, 0.7 kilometers wide, and 0.5 kilometers deep.
geophysical work
Soleris commissioned Geotech Ltd. to use advanced Z-axis tilting electron electromagnetic (ZTEM) technology to explore the Valinsa project with a total area of 268 square kilometers. The latest technology is used in this exploration. The goal is to map a large-scale porphyry target area with a theoretical exploration depth of up to 2,000 meters. After three-dimensional inversion of electromagnetic data obtained from exploration, high-conductivity (low-resistance) anomalies (less than 100 ohm meters) are drawn.
Valinsa Middle, East and West
Geophysical prospecting found that high-conductivity anomalies pass through the middle of Varinsa, Varinsa East and Varinsaci, with good continuity, and the range reaches 3.5 kilometers long, 1 kilometers wide and 1 kilometers deep. In Varinsa, anomalies are closely related to deep high-grade primary mineralization, while mineralization in/or near the surface shows poorly. The El Trinche ore belt described earlier appears to be the southward extension of Valinsa, with an abnormally long surface of 500 meters, a width of 300 meters, and a copper grade of 0.2-0.8%. Varinsasi seems to be the western part of the depression cut off by faults in Varinsa, and it is a medium-grade disseminated mineralization.
In mid-January, drilling in the Valinsa Middle Deposit once found 1067 meters of ore, with a copper grade of 0.49%, molybdenum 0.02%, and gold 0.04 g/ton. The first drilling plans for Trinche and Valinzadon will begin in the first half of the year.
Valrinsanan
Valinsa South is an independent large high-conductivity anomaly, heading northwest, 4 kilometers south of the Valinsa Middle Copper Mine. The conductive anomaly zone is 2.3 kilometers long, 1.1 kilometers wide, 700 meters thick on average, and buried about 200 meters deep. There may be disseminated and/or leached secondary mineralization zones on the upper part, showing geochemical anomalies. The preliminary drilling plan is to start in the first half of the year.
Yawei
Yawei was previously unknown but discovered through this geophysical exploration, and it is located 850 meters east of the east anomalous zone of Varinsa. The anomalous zone runs north-south, is about 2.8 kilometers long, 0.7 kilometers wide, 0.5 kilometers thick, and buried about 450 meters deep.
The company’s president and chief executive officer Daniel Earle said, “We are very pleased to have made major new discoveries in Valin Sasi. Beyond the scope. Geophysical prospecting shows that the porphyry metallogenic system is larger than originally thought. To speed up drilling and promote resource growth, the company has increased the number of drilling rigs to 12.”
